Kindergarten grad!

Zachary graduated from Kindergarten on Friday & we couldn't be more proud. He has come a long way since those first few weeks last fall when he had streams of tears for days & clinging to my legs.

Over the course of the school year, he has matured, found some good friends, and most days actually looked forward to going to school. Zach was blessed with a wonderful teacher who was nurturing with him when he needed it, but also encouraged his growth & independence. Of course along the way he also discovered some new choice words/expressions/slang terms that I am not so fond of, as well as a bit of a sassy mouth at times. But its all part of the growing up process & we will take it as it comes.

I am looking forward to having Zach home for the summer & am excited to see what 1st grade brings. 1st grade.... wow...I can't believe it!

come on 'Terrific Three's'

I woke up this morning ready to embrace & start with the 'Terrific Three's' as we have officially said goodbye to the 'Terrible Two's, right Cameron?
We sure hope so!

Happy Birthday to my fun, sweet, challenging, witty, athletic, 'my way or no way,' love-able Blondie 3 year old.

We love you!

my little artist

A piece of Zach's artwork was selected for display at the annual District #204 (our Naperville school district) Fine Arts Festival, which was held at the high school today. About six pieces from each Kindergarten class were picked & Zach was honored to have one of his pieces chosen.

We hustled over there today after his soccer game, as you can see, as he's proudly posing with his master piece. His artwork is on the bottom right, I think its suppose to be a rose garden of sorts.
It was a proud moment for me to see the effort he is making at school & enjoyment he receives from participating in projects.

Mark however, missed out on this monumental event in Zach's life, as he is out of town for a long weekend in upper Michigan playing golf with all his college buddies. I did attempt to sway him to stay home, as we shouldn't miss such opportunities in our kids life's, but no such luck.
Just kidding honey, we of course wanted you to go & relax & de-stress & hash out old memories, etc..., but all of us are VERY MUCH ready for you to come home!

12 weeks

Lindsey passed the twelve week mark and I managed to capture my first picture with somewhat of a smile!

She is slowly falling into a schedule, which very much pleases me. She also is becoming a happier baby, which pleases all the boys in the house as her excessive crying is less & less.

a little bit of a smile!

LL

11 weeks and 3 days... growing up so quickly

She's definitely more alert for pictures, but I have yet to capture a picture of her smiling, which is so frustrating, as she is so stinkin' cute when she smiles.

She is doing much better these days and as she likes to continually impress & make her mama happy, sleeping through the night!! (which she has been doing since about 9 weeks, but didn't want to jinx it or brag about it :-)
