Big, BIG NEWS!

This news is almost as exciting as the arrival of baby #2.... Zachary FINALLY went pee on the potty!! Yesterday was a huge day for the Leys household. He was so excited and proud of himself.

Nana W has been telling him for months that as soon as he went on the potty she would take him to buy a sand box, so as soon as he had gone he quickly reminded her of her promise. So off they went to the store and brought back a turtle sand box. Since it was absolutely beautiful yesterday we first set it up as a mini pool and then filled it up with sand. He thoroughly enjoyed playing in there and at 7am this morning was already asking to go outside to play in it. Hopefully yesterday wasn't a fluke and we have turned the corner with this major challenge. I do realize this will be an ongoing learning process and many accidents will still happen, however I'm feeling optimistic that we have at least started it.
